The state of man. The greatest discovery in our history is that human being by changing the inner attitudes of their minds can change all the outer aspects of their lives.
I consider it a dangerous misconception of mental hygiene to assume that what man needs is equilibrium or homoeostasis a tension less state. What man actually needs is the striving and struggling for some goal worthy of him. The ordered prioritized life is lived with much less stress, because it proceeds step by step. Progression and accomplishment are its traits. The disordered life is lived in misfits jerks, omissions, relapse and hesitations. How can you say it is finished if you don't know what you are doing? There is no miserable human being than one in whom nothing is habitual but indecision. The greatest discovery in our history is that human being by changing the inner attitudes of their minds can change all the outer aspects of their lives.
